Okinawa Coffee Forum is an independent platform where producers, coffee professionals, researchers, government, businesses, educators, and tourism partners come together to improve quality, develop talent, and build the future of Okinawa coffee.
設立ストーリー
Our Story
沖縄コーヒーフォーラムは、「沖縄でも本当においしいコーヒーを育てたい」という関係者の思いから始まりました。
沖縄コーヒーの品質向上を願う堀口俊英氏、名城政雄氏をはじめとする関係者が、琉球大学にコーヒー研究室を持つ高木伸明氏に相談したことをきっかけに、沖縄でコーヒーを学び、研究し、評価する場づくりが動き出しました。
この活動は、特定の企業や個人のためではなく、沖縄コーヒー全体の未来のために始まったものです。
Okinawa Coffee Forum began with a shared hope: to grow truly delicious coffee in Okinawa.
The initiative started when people committed to improving Okinawa coffee quality, including Toshihide Horiguchi and Masao Nashiro, consulted Nobuaki Takagi, who leads coffee research at the University of the Ryukyus. This led to the creation of a place where people could learn, research, evaluate, and connect around Okinawa coffee.

As Representative Director of Ryukyus Coffee Energy Inc., a University of the Ryukyus certified venture, he works on coffee research, education, talent development, and origin development in Okinawa. Within Okinawa Coffee Forum, he supports forum establishment and collaboration with research and educational institutions.
沖縄コーヒーフォーラムは、栽培から精製、カッピング、品質評価、人材育成までをつなぎ、沖縄コーヒー産業の発展を支えます。
Okinawa Coffee Forum supports the development of Okinawa coffee by connecting cultivation, processing, cupping, evaluation, and education.
